Rocking and rolling from Colorado to New York City

6 Days cycling and reading by Ralph Morse, 1948

As the East Coast of the United States rocked under the pressure of a 5.8 earthquake centered in Virginia, Colorado is rocking in the thunder of world-class cyclist in the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Major riders from around the world have converged in this wildly beautiful state. Today the 99.3 mile ride went from the small mountain town of Salida to the top of Mt. Crested Butte. Tomorrow the challenge is 131 miles from Gunnison to Aspen. Wouldn’t you rather be in Colorado this week than anywhere else in the great U.S.A.?
