At The Show
GALLERY M, known for our fine art photography, invites you to our 14th anniversary series: “From Still to Motion.” The series covers the transformation that photography is having on culture and it’s foundation.

Opening November 6 at 6 PM, we launch into the importance of one frame. At topic, Eisenstaedt’s journeys with Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren, Feininger’s nostalgic trip down Route 66 and the visual influence on current techniques from preserving negatives to incorporating the still in major motion pictures and the emerging genre called “media arts.” Open to all, from avid collectors to those aspiring director’s of photography.

Putting our opening night into perspective, re-join GALLERY M through the Denver International Film Festival as we host the 2009 Stan Brakhage Vision Award Reception honoring Ernie Gehr on November 15. Gehr’s work will show prior to the gallery reception as part of the 2009 Denver International Film Festival. Attendees should present their DIFF ticket available through the festival.
