2020 Presidential Race: Hickenlooper Joins crowd

As the 2020 United States Presidential race begins, candidates eager to challenge Donald Trump are pilling in.  The latest is former Colorado Governor, John Hickenlooper.  Under his guidance of 8 years, Colorado has transformed its economy – most notably was Hickenlooper’s business sense to allow legalization of Marijuana statewide.  Now many parts of the United States are changing policy to allow medical and recreational use of the substance.   John Hickenlooper has to win by appealing to the underdog voter – and the more than 100 million independent voters who are typically lost each election cycle.  He needs to do so by controlling negative sentiment when made to look like a Democratic buffoon in social media, national debates and with international opinion.  Unlike the country’s current President, Hickenlooper has successfully been both a business owner and public servant.  His supporters range beyond Colorado.   The ultimate question and test: will they support him over the already convoluted candidates claiming to be Democrats capable of defeating Trump?
