The White House. From left to right, the mainstream media has diverted audiences to the insignificant. The loss of the East Wing as we knew it. Do not get me wrong, an architecturally significant structure for all of us, like the White House, should be cared for by the resident custodian elected each term – The President. To act negligently or maliciously serves no one, especially a country seeking unity. The improvement of the Rose Garden and the expansion of the East Wing will likely solve problems in the same manner that an individual home renovation solves. Stories abound detailing how official events required guests and visiting dignitaries to rely on portable bathrooms vs. formal, stately accommodations. This may be acceptable once, but not when a country’s image and experience are meant to reflect a country’s dignified, global leadership. Of course, we the people, did not agree to contribute $1 each for a ballroom few citizens will personally see – let alone use.
When your own home does not function properly, you act. Your kitchen is old, the lights are dim, and the bedrooms are too small for a growing family. You, or at least your wife, remodel as needed or pick up and move. Americans tend to do this every 7 years. With the current economy adjusting to multiple factors, including 6-month-old tariff policies, increased housing availability, lower interest rates (tomorrow’s Fed announcement will further affordability, guiding 6.25% or better), and Trump tax breaks, there are reasons to embrace the changes at hand. The good news from the current administration’s actions to date: you remain in control of reaching valuable resources to assist with your next move. Golden toilets – also possible for your next remodel. And if you really want to make a statement, consider the craftsmanship acknowledged by Duchamp’s R. Mutt signature series. Definitely something to talk about over bubbles.
