Andy Warhol was an American artist, filmmaker, and innovator who played a major role in the visual art movement known as Pop Art. He was a leading figure in the movement and is known for his iconic works such as Campbell’s Soup Cans, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley. He was also a pioneer of the concept of “15 minutes of fame” and was known for his celebrity culture and mass-media criticism.
