Rothko’s White Center sells for slightly over $72Million

Sotheby’s today successfully sold David Rockefeller’s little $10,000 acquisition in 1960 for $72,840,000 (USD). This pricing reflects the hammer price with buyer’s premium and is well beyond the guarantee of $45 Million. Good job “hammer time”.
